Looks like everyone has given great info: Its not a race. Know your limits & back off when you find them Your limits will change with your tires & brakes Don't be ashamed to wave someone by. Don't drag race someone you have just waved by Bleed brakes prior & bring extra fluid Change Oil prior & bring extra Oil Check your tire pressure before and after each run Check your tires ware pattern, adjust pressure if needed, ask for help if needed too Check your brake pads prior Re-Torque your lung nuts after each run Don't afraid to ask for help Listen to your instructor Bring basic tools Drink lots of waterSome additional advise: Have fun! Drive a smooth line, do NOT jerk the wheel Work on consistency Learn the braking turning points, look for something on the track or the wall to "mark" those places and try to repeat them Learn late apex Its not a race Check your gauges on the longest straight away, Oil/Water Pass on straights only Learn to drive your car as it is now, prior to "making it faster"...better drivers can turn quicker laps in a slower car than novice drivers can do in a "faster" car, for future reference If there is not a covered pit row, bring a pop up tent Have fun
